About Mr Evangelos Tsialogiannis
Mr. Evangelos Tsialogiannis is an Orthopaedic Consultant who currently practises at Ashford and St Peter’s Hospitals (ASPH) in Surrey, UK. He gained over 15 years of experience in the Greek Army, where he held the rank of Major while serving as a medical officer. He has completed two postgraduate fellowships at renowned centres of excellence around the world.
During his career, Mr. Tsialogiannis completed a one-year lower limb reconstruction fellowship, which was officially recognised by the Royal College of Surgeons. This fellowship took place at Ashford and St Peter’s Trust and had a specific focus on hip and knee replacement procedures, as well as the management of soft tissue injuries in young adults. Additionally, he completed a one-year fellowship at the prestigious Sunnybrook Science Centre in Toronto, known as the largest arthroplasty venue in Canada. During his time at Sunnybrook, Mr. Tsialogiannis had the privilege of training under the guidance of world-leading experts, including Dr. Hugh Cameron, Dr. John Cameron, and Dr. Jeff Gollish.
Mr. Tsialogiannis's primary area of expertise lies in minimally invasive hip replacement procedures. He is highly skilled in performing minimally invasive hip approaches, such as the spaire approach and anterior hip replacement. His practice also emphasises fast-track day cases, robotic-assisted knee replacements, and the integration of cutting-edge techniques in trauma surgery.
In recognition of his outstanding contributions and service, Mr. Tsialogiannis has received numerous accolades and honours throughout his career. These include the Military Merit Medal and knighthood into the Order of the Phoenix, where he received the Golden Cross in 2004. Additionally, he has been decorated with the United Nations Metal Award, recognising his service in the UN's peacekeeping mission under the NATO command in Yugoslavia.

Recovery after hip replacement was very fast. I could walk without crutches (level or gently sloping surfaces) within 18 days (earlier still if carrying crutches for security). He used an anterior approach and is obviously very keen to continuously improve his technique. He is personable and enthusiastic and very willing to explain the procedure. He has given me the potential for a much improved quality of life and for that I am hugely grateful.
