Dr Terry Segal

Dr Terry Segal is an accomplished Consultant Paediatrician who specialises in general paediatrics, adolescent medicine, and paediatric endocrinology. She provides comprehensive medical care for children and young people, supporting patients through a diverse range of physical, emotional, and developmental health needs. Dedicated to delivering patient-centred healthcare, Dr Segal focuses on providing reassuring, empathetic support tailored to the unique developmental stages of children and teenagers.

Her clinical practice focuses on complex and persistent health conditions affecting young people. Dr Segal has extensive expertise in managing post-COVID syndrome, Myalgic Encephalomyelitis / Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (ME/CFS), and persistent physical symptoms or chronic pain. She also manages growth and pubertal delay, adolescent obesity, and the medical aspects of anorexia nervosa. Working closely alongside multidisciplinary teams, she co-ordinates holistic care plans that address both physical and emotional well-being while facilitating smooth transitions from paediatric to adult healthcare services.

Dr Segal completed specialist postgraduate medical training in paediatrics, with sub-specialty accreditation in paediatric and adolescent endocrinology, and holds membership with the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (MRCPCH). She serves as a Member Trustee for the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health and actively participates in international advisory bodies, such as the International Post COVID and Post Infection Conditions Society. Alongside her clinical duties, she regularly contributes to peer-reviewed publications, national educational courses, and advocacy efforts aimed at improving health outcomes for young people.
