About

Ms Tejal Amin is an expert Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist with a particular focus on early pregnancy and gynaecological ultrasound, emergency gynaecology, and benign gynaecological surgery, including outpatient procedures. As part of the Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, she provides comprehensive management of a wide range of gynaecological conditions such as menstrual disorders, pelvic pain, and menopausal symptoms.

Ms Amin graduated from University College London in 2006 and completed her postgraduate specialty training in North-west London. During this period, she underwent a three-year clinical research fellowship in advanced gynaecological and early pregnancy ultrasound at University College London Hospital under Prof. Davor Jurkovic. She earned an MD (Res) from the University of London for her research on pelvic venous circulation, pelvic venous thrombosis, and pelvic pain, which has been presented nationally and internationally. She has also published research articles on the ultrasound diagnosis of intrauterine adhesions, endometrial pathology, and early pregnancy complications. Ms Amin remains active in research, ultrasound education, and lectures on postgraduate training courses and conferences.

Prior to her role at Imperial NHS Trust, Ms Amin completed a fellowship in minimal access surgery at the Whittington Hospital and worked at Guy's and St Thomas' and the Royal Free Hospital. She is skilled in diagnosing and treating gynaecological conditions such as endometriosis, adenomyosis, ovarian cysts, and fibroids.
