Dr. Stuart Viegas is a Consultant Neurologist with extensive experience. He completed his medical degree in 2001 from University College London Medical School. He pursued research in myasthenia gravis and neuromuscular diseases at the University of Oxford, earning a DPhil, and completed his neurology specialist training in Wessex and London. In 2014, Dr. Viegas was appointed as a Consultant Neurologist at Hillingdon and Imperial, where he leads the muscle and myasthenia gravis service, providing expert care and second opinions for patients from NW London and beyond.
Dr. Viegas is a specialist in general neurology, neuromuscular conditions, myasthenia gravis, and motor neurone disease. His multidisciplinary approach involves collaboration with neurophysiologists, radiologists, and neuropathologists to ensure individualised, top-quality care. He has published research, written book chapters, and remains actively involved in clinical research and medical education. As an Honorary Senior Lecturer at Imperial College London, Dr. Viegas also supports the Myaware charity, dedicated to helping myasthenia gravis patients.

Dr Viegas has provided excellent care with listening to my symptoms, developing an investigation plan, reviewing test results with me, providing a recommendation for a neck surgeon for a more specific investigation, and following-up with me to ensure I am getting thorough care by addressing all of my concerns.
