Dr Stavroula Pelitari

Dr Stavroula Pelitari is a consultant gastroenterologist with expertise in diagnosing and managing a wide range of gastrointestinal conditions. She specialises in endoscopy, including advanced polypectomy and has good knowledge in managing general gastroenterology conditions incuding irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) . She currently practises at The Princess Grace Hospital, part of HCA Healthcare UK in London, and serves as consultant and endoscopy training lead at the Royal Free Hospital NHS Trust.

Dr Pelitari completed her medical degree at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in Greece before moving to the UK to undertake specialist training in gastroenterology. She subsequently completed an advanced fellowship in endoscopy. She is actively involved in education and training, having contributed to the Joint Advisory Group (JAG) committee in developing national training guidance in colonoscopy, and continues to train endoscopists across London and the West Midlands.

She is a member of the European Crohn’s and Colitis Organisation (ECCO) and has presented her research at national and international conferences. Dr Pelitari has also published numerous peer-reviewed papers and remains engaged in ongoing research and education in gastroenterology.

She is known for her compassionate approach and commitment to excelence and delivers outstanding care and remains current with the latest medical advancements.
