About Dr Dalvinder Mandair

Dr Dalvinder Mandair is a Consultant Gastroenterologist specialising in internal medicine, gastroenterology, and neuroendocrine tumours. He was appointed as a Consultant in Gastroenterology and the Neuroendocrine Tumour Unit at the Royal Free Hospital in 2016 having graduated in medicine from the University College Medical School in 2002.

During his specialist training, Dr Mandair undertook a higher research degree (MD Res), with a thesis focused on biomarkers in the pathogenesis of neuroendocrine tumours. He is actively involved in research as a principal and sub-investigator in multiple clinical trials, has published widely in peer-reviewed journals, and regularly presents at international conferences.

Dr Mandair is also committed to medical education and academic leadership. He supervises MSc and PhD students and is an Honorary Associate Professor at University College London. From 2019 to 2022, he served as Chair of the UKINETS Education Committee and was recently a finalist in the Neuroendocrine Cancer UK Hero Awards.

His clinical practice includes diagnostic and therapeutic colonoscopy, upper gastrointestinal endoscopy, and flexible sigmoidoscopy. His interests encompass general gastroenterology, neuroendocrine tumours, reflux disease, dysphagia, functional bowel disorders, inflammatory bowel disease, and the gastrointestinal consequences of cancer and its treatment.
