Dr Srikanth Bellary

Dr Srikanth Bellary is a highly accomplished Consultant Physician specialising in Endocrinology and Diabetes. With a deep commitment to patient-centred care, he focuses on the comprehensive management of metabolic conditions, particularly type 2 diabetes, obesity, and diabetic kidney disease. Dr Bellary is dedicated to improving patient outcomes through tailored treatment plans, helping individuals navigate the complexities of chronic metabolic disorders with confidence and reassurance.

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr Bellary holds several prominent leadership and academic roles within the healthcare sector. He serves as a Reader in Metabolic Medicine and has been instrumental in developing innovative, award-winning models of community diabetes care. His extensive involvement in clinical research, including serving as a Chief Investigator for major clinical trials, ensures that his patients benefit from the latest evidence-based therapies and medical advancements. Dr Bellary completed his primary medical education at Osmania University, India, where he was awarded his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) in 1993. He went on to obtain his Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP) in 2000, followed by a Postgraduate Certificate in Clinical Training (CCT) in Diabetes and Endocrinology from the Royal College of Physicians in 2007. Furthering his academic pursuits, he earned a Doctor of Medicine (MD) in 2010. Dr Bellary was honoured with a Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians (FRCP) in 2014, reflecting his high standing and expertise within the medical community.
