Dr Silvia Rota

Dr Silvia Rota is a compassionate Consultant Neurologist and Movement Disorder Specialist dedicated to delivering exceptional care for individuals living with complex neurological conditions. With a refined clinical approach, she specialises in evaluating and managing neurodegenerative disorders, with a primary focus on Parkinson's disease and atypical movement disorders. Dr Rota provides holistic, patient-centred care designed to optimise functional independence and improve daily quality of life for her patients.

Her clinical practice encompasses the management of both motor and non-motor symptoms associated with movement disorders. As a lead clinician in targeted neurotoxin therapies, Dr Rota possesses expertise in utilising botulinum toxin injections for the treatment of focal dystonias and related muscular conditions. In addition, she plays an active role in evaluating suitability for advanced therapies, managing medication adjustments for complex symptom fluctuations, and overseeing clinical research trials.

Dr Rota earned her primary medical degree from the University of Pavia in Italy before completing specialist postgraduate training in Neurology at the University of Brescia. She subsequently completed a Clinical Research Fellow post, conducting research into translational biomarkers and genetic factors in neurodegeneration.
