Dr Diana Wei

Dr Diana Wei is a Consultant Neurologist at King’s College Hospital and Guy’s & St Thomas’ Hospital, with a specialist focus on headache disorders. She trained in London, the South West of England and New Zealand, and has been part of the King’s College London Headache Group since 2015.

She has extensive experience in diagnosing and managing the full spectrum of headache conditions, including migraine, cluster headache and rarer primary headache syndromes. Her approach is personalised and evidence-based, and she offers advanced treatments such as Botox injections for chronic migraine and greater occipital nerve blocks where appropriate.

Dr Wei has a particular interest in supporting young people transitioning from paediatric to adult headache services. She co-established the King’s Health Partners Transition Headache Clinic in collaboration with colleagues at Great Ormond Street Hospital, helping to ensure continuity of care during this important period. She also provides specialist support for pregnant women with primary headache disorders, offering clear, safe and evidence-based guidance throughout pregnancy.

In addition to her clinical work, Dr Wei is Treasurer of the British Association for the Study of Headache (BASH) and contributes to national and international guideline development and research in headache medicine.

Her areas of interest include migraine, cluster headache, post-concussion headache, facial pain and trigeminal autonomic cephalalgias such as paroxysmal hemicrania, hemicrania continua, SUNCT and SUNA.
