Mr Sebastian Adamson

Mr Sebastian Adamson is a highly skilled consultant gynaecologist with expertise in acute and benign gynaecology, cancer diagnosis and treatment, and minimal access surgery. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Wales College of Medicine and then trained in London and the South East of England, honing his skills in obstetrics and gynaecology.

With experience in regional cancer and endometriosis centres, Mr Adamson has developed a broad skillset, including ultrasound diagnostics and advanced minimal access surgery. He is a full-time NHS consultant at University Hospitals Sussex, where he has served as the lead for emergency gynaecology and contributes to the cancer two-week wait team. His clinical role includes a fast track cancer diagnostic clinic, general (benign) gynaecology clinic, as well as performing both major and day case surgeries.

He is the clinical director for Obstetrics at the trust which cares for almost 9000 births per year. Mr Adamson provides care for a wide range of gynaecological conditions, such as pelvic and vaginal pain, ovarian cysts, fibroids, polyps, dysfunctional menstrual bleeding, prolapse, menopause management, and post-menopausal bleeding. A strong advocate for women's health, Mr Adamson takes a holistic, patient-centred approach to care, collaborating closely with patients to address their concerns and preferences. His informal yet professional manner creates a comfortable atmosphere for patients during what can often be a stressful and concerning appointment.
