Dr Sam Mathewlynn

Dr Sam Mathewlynn is a dedicated Consultant Obstetrician specialising in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, providing compassionate, patient-centred care to women and families throughout pregnancy and childbirth. With a commitment to clinical excellence and safety, he offers holistic care tailored to the individual needs of each patient, ensuring high standards of clinical oversight and reassuring support at every stage of maternal care.

In his clinical practice, Dr Mathewlynn focuses on maternal and foetal health, with particular expertise in antenatal and postnatal care. His areas of clinical interest include the identification and management of foetal growth restriction, pre-eclampsia, and intrapartum foetal wellbeing. He is also actively engaged in integrating digital health into obstetrics, utilising novel digital tools, risk stratification techniques, and advanced placental ultrasound imaging to enhance diagnostic precision and clinical decision-making.

Dr Mathewlynn completed his undergraduate medical degree at the University of Bristol, graduating with a Bachelor of Science (BSc) with honours alongside his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MB ChB). He subsequently undertook comprehensive specialty training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, alongside a Topol Fellowship in digital health. He holds professional accreditation as a Member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (MRCOG) and a Member of the Faculty of Clinical Informatics (MFCI), maintaining an active involvement in clinical research and medical education.
