Dr Sadaf Bhayat

Dr Sadaf Bhayat is a highly dedicated Consultant Neonatologist and Paediatrician who specialises in the care of newborn infants, particularly those requiring intensive medical support. With a clinical focus on neonatal medicine, she is committed to delivering exceptional, compassionate care to vulnerable infants and their families. Her clinical expertise spans a wide range of neonatal conditions, with a particular interest in critical care, neonatal resuscitation, and the management of complex medical and surgical issues in the newborn period.

Throughout her career, Dr Bhayat has developed significant expertise in advanced neonatal procedures and diagnostic techniques. Her areas of clinical interest include point-of-care ultrasound (PoCUS), specifically cardiac PoCUS, and less-invasive surfactant administration (LISA) for preterm infants experiencing respiratory distress. She is also deeply involved in preterm optimisation, working to improve outcomes for babies born prematurely. In addition to her clinical work, Dr Bhayat is a passionate advocate for medical education and training, serving as an Education Lead to support postgraduate doctors returning to practice and those undertaking flexible training pathways.

Dr Bhayat completed her medical degree, obtaining her Bachelor of Medicine. She went on to earn a Doctor of Medicine (MD) and a Postgraduate Certificate in Medical Education (PGCert Med Ed), reflecting her commitment to both clinical excellence and the training of future healthcare professionals. She is a Member of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (MRCPCH), which underscores her adherence to the highest standards of paediatric care in the United Kingdom.
