Dr Ruth Gottstein

Dr Ruth Gottstein is a dedicated Consultant Neonatologist and Paediatrician who provides expert, reassuring care to newborn infants and children. With a clinical emphasis on paediatric and neonatal medicine, she focuses on delivering high-quality care to vulnerable neonates while offering empathetic support to families. Her patient-centred approach ensures that young patients receive individualised, evidence-based care tailored to their unique medical requirements.

Dr Gottstein earned her medical degree from Trinity College Dublin in Ireland before undertaking subspecialist training in paediatric and neonatal medicine in the United Kingdom. She holds a Master of Science degree alongside Diplomas in Child Health and Obstetrics. She is a Fellow of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health and is actively involved in professional organisations, including Health Education North West and the Resuscitation Council UK, where she contributes to medical training standards and clinical education.

In her clinical work, Dr Gottstein maintains a strong interest in neonatal cardiology and echocardiography. She is widely recognised for her contributions to neonatal simulation training and emergency resuscitation education, having helped develop regional training initiatives and advanced resuscitation courses for medical professionals.
