Are you Rod Gillingham?
Mr Rod Gillingham is an osteopath based at Freedom Care Clinics in Leeds. He began his osteopathy training in 2004 at the Surrey Institute of Osteopathic Medicine and has undertaken further training in Western medical acupuncture. He has also completed postgraduate training in the treatment of post-natal patients, chronic pain management, medical laser therapy and shockwave therapy.
Before qualifying as an osteopath, Mr Gillingham worked as a professional sports therapist and personal trainer. His clinical work includes the treatment of sports injuries, postural-related conditions and persistent musculoskeletal pain. He has experience treating a wide range of individuals, including professional athletes, dancers, teenagers with postural concerns and older adults with chronic pain conditions.
Between 2010 and 2015, Mr Gillingham was involved in delivering the MSc Osteopathy programme at Leeds Beckett University alongside his clinical practice.
His areas of practice include neck pain, headaches, sports and activity-related injuries, chronic pain conditions, postural dysfunction, back pain, sciatica and post-natal musculoskeletal conditions.
Mr Gillingham uses a combination of hands-on osteopathic treatment, Western medical acupuncture, electrotherapy, shockwave therapy, Class 4 laser therapy, exercise rehabilitation and strength-based rehabilitation as part of his treatment approach.
