About Dr Richard Ang
Dr Richard Ang, Consultant Cardiologist and Electrophysiologist, currently works at the Homerton University Hospital and the world renowned Barts Heart Centre in London. He also sees patients privately at the One Heart Clinic, and the HCA Wellington Hospital. He is highly experienced in the treatment of heart rhythm conditions (including atrial fibrillation, SVTs, ectopic beats, slow heart rhythm) and performs a wide range of ablation and pacemaker procedures.
Dr Ang completed his medical education at Barts and the London, University of London where he qualified in 2002 with Distinction and Prizes. He then progressed through his specialist training for cardiology at well-respected London teaching hospitals. He was awarded the prestigious Medical Research Council Clinical Research Training Fellowship for his doctoral research into the heart brain interaction and was awarded a PhD by University College London in 2015. He is currently the Clinical Lead for SVT ablation procedures at Barts Heart Centre and the Clinical Lead for Cardiology at Homerton Hospital.

Dr Richard Ang was very helpful indeed in given me my results and also referring me to a Lipid specialist Professor Patel. I have only asked yesterday whether there is anyone else Dr Ang can recommend as the first appointment i can get to see Professor Patel is not until 30th March. If that timeline is ok i will leave. I was really impressed by Dr Ang really clear explanations of his thought process and how we could resolve the issue at hand.
The specialist was very clear with and spoke in simple language explaining what he believes the problem was, setting out next steps. I did not feel rushed and importantly he was kind and very warm.
