Dr Rathi Prasad

Dr Rathi Prasad is an experienced Consultant Paediatrician and Specialist in Paediatric Endocrinology and Diabetes who is dedicated to providing compassionate, comprehensive medical care for children and young people. With a thoughtful and patient-centred approach, she supports families through every stage of assessment, diagnosis, and ongoing condition management. Dr Prasad completed her primary medical degree at Imperial College London, qualifying in 2004. Following her specialist clinical training in Paediatrics and Paediatric Endocrinology, she pursued advanced academic research into endocrine disease and was awarded a PhD from Queen Mary University of London in 2014. Her doctoral research focused on the genetic and molecular mechanisms of rare adrenal insufficiency disorders. She maintains active professional engagement within the clinical community through memberships in prestigious bodies, including the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health and the British Society for Paediatric Endocrinology and Diabetes.

In her clinical practice, Dr Prasad addresses a wide range of endocrine and metabolic conditions in children and adolescents. Her areas of special interest include complex adrenal gland disorders, juvenile diabetes, disorders of puberty, and differences in sex development. She also possesses clinical expertise in managing primary adrenal insufficiency, thyroid conditions, and familial syndromes such as familial paraganglioma syndrome and glucocorticoid deficiency.
