Dr Ranganath Ranganna

Dr Ranganath Ranganna is a dedicated Consultant Neonatologist and Paediatrician who provides expert medical care for newborns, infants, and young children. Specialising in neonatal medicine, he focuses on delivering compassionate and evidence-based care to premature babies and infants requiring intensive medical support. His clinical approach centres on supporting both young patients and their families throughout complex medical care, ensuring optimal health and developmental outcomes from the earliest stages of life.

Dr Ranganna completed his initial medical education in India, graduating with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) in 2000. He subsequently moved to the United Kingdom to undertake postgraduate specialty training in Paediatrics and neonatal medicine in Sheffield. He is a Member of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (MRCPCH), reflecting his professional standing and ongoing commitment to high standards in child healthcare.

In his clinical practice, Dr Ranganna has developed a strong interest in neurodevelopmental follow-up, monitoring the growth and long-term progress of high-risk infants. His areas of expertise also include delivery room resuscitation, deferred cord clamping, and the treatment of neonatal respiratory distress syndrome. Alongside his clinical responsibilities, Dr Ranganna is actively engaged in medical education and simulation-based training, guiding healthcare teams to enhance safety and clinical care in neonatal emergencies.
