Dr Ramalakshmi Ramiah is a dedicated Consultant Paediatric Neurologist who specialises in providing compassionate, expert care for children and young people with complex neurological conditions. Recognising that every child has unique needs, she prioritises clear communication, empathetic support, and thorough clinical assessments to help families navigate complex medical journeys with confidence and reassurance.

Her primary clinical expertise spans paediatric movement disorders, tone management, and acute neurorehabilitation. Dr Ramiah has significant expertise in caring for children affected by dystonia, cerebral palsy, spasticity, and acquired brain injuries. Her practice encompasses a wide range of advanced treatment pathways, including pre-operative assessments and management for deep brain stimulation, botulinum toxin administration for upper and lower limbs, intrathecal baclofen therapy, selective dorsal rhizotomy evaluations, and intensive inpatient neurorehabilitation.

Dr Ramiah completed her core medical degree alongside higher specialist postgraduate training in Paediatrics and Paediatric Neurology. She holds full registration with a licence to practise on the General Medical Council Specialist Register.
