Dr Rajesh Madhu

Dr Rajesh Madhu is an accomplished Consultant Paediatrician and Consultant Paediatric Neurologist specialising in comprehensive child healthcare and complex paediatric neuromuscular disorders. Driven by a commitment to delivering high-quality, compassionate care, he focuses on diagnosing and managing complex neurological and genetic conditions in infants, children, and young people. Operating as a Clinical Lead for specialised medical services, Dr Madhu collaborates closely with multidisciplinary clinical teams to ensure that young patients and their families receive holistic support and tailored care plans designed to meet their unique health requirements.

In his clinical practice, Dr Madhu focuses on comprehensive diagnostic evaluations and state-of-the-art therapeutic interventions for children with nerve and muscle conditions. His primary areas of clinical expertise encompass Spinal Muscular Atrophy, Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, myotonic dystrophy, limb-girdle muscular dystrophy, congenital myasthenia syndromes, Friedreich's ataxia, congenital myopathies, and arthrogryposis. He provides access to advanced disease-modifying genetic therapies, including novel gene therapy interventions and targeted molecular treatments, alongside whole genome sequencing diagnostic assessments to identify rare conditions early and precisely.

Dr Madhu attained a Master of Science degree in Genomic Medicine from the University of Manchester and holds membership with the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health. Alongside his clinical responsibilities, he is actively involved in clinical research and academic advancement, serving as a Principal Investigator for international clinical trials and genomic research studies in paediatric neurology.
