Dr Priya Ilangovan is a Consultant with 25 years of experience as a Consultant Paediatrician. Dr Ilangovan is a general paediatrician and also specialises in all forms of respiratory paediatrics including asthma and recurrent chest infections, allergy and immunology and cystic fibrosis. She currently practices at the Candover Clinic and North Hampshire Hospital in Basingstoke, Hampshire.
Dr Ilangovan qualified for medicine in 1982, at the Royal Free Hospital Medical School. She then took up her Consultant Paediatrician post at the Basingstoke and North Hampshire Foundation Trust in 1995, where she currently practices. Dr Ilangovan is praised for her holistic and empathetic approach to paediatrics, and has since established a multidisciplinary service for children with cystic fibroids. She has won various awards for her outstanding practice, and was instrumental in the development of the current respiratory service at Basingstoke Hospital. She currently offers a one-stop respiratory service, for a wide range of respiratory issues. Dr Ilangovan has also published several peer reviewed papers regarding general and respiratory paediatric medicine.
