Academic Background:
Professor King graduated from University College Galway in 1987, he was awarded his fellowship of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists in 1992 and was awarded his MD from the University of Leicester in 2001, in 2012 he received an MMedSci in Medical Education from the University of Nottingham.
He completed his Glaucoma Fellowship at the Western Eye hospital in London in 1999 and completed Anterior Segment fellowship in 2000. He has an active research profile and has published over 70 peer reviewed papers primarily related to his glaucoma speciality interest.
