Dr Pradeep Kankanalu

Dr Pradeep Kankanalu is a highly regarded Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in disorders of the upper limb, with a particular focus on complex shoulder and elbow conditions. Dedicated to delivering compassionate, patient-centred care, he provides comprehensive assessments and tailored management plans to help individuals regain mobility, alleviate pain, and restore function in their everyday lives.

In his clinical practice, Dr Kankanalu manages a wide array of orthopaedic conditions affecting the shoulder, elbow, and upper extremities. His expertise encompasses both non-operative management and advanced surgical interventions, including arthroscopic shoulder procedures, rotator cuff repairs, and surgical management of joint instability. He is experienced in performing complex joint replacement procedures, such as total and reverse total shoulder arthroplasties and radial head reconstructions, as well as trauma fixation for acute fractures.

Dr Kankanalu completed his primary medical qualification with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS), followed by post-graduate surgical training to attain Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons (MRCS) and Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons in Trauma and Orthopaedics (FRCS (Tr & Orth)). To refine his operative skills, he undertook sub-specialist fellowship training in shoulder and elbow surgery.
