Mr Bobby Siddiqui is a Consultant in Trauma and Foot & Ankle Surgery at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals, where his practice is divided between general orthopaedic trauma at a busy major trauma centre and elective foot and ankle surgery. He has a particular interest in arthritic conditions of the foot and ankle.
Originally from London, Mr Siddiqui completed an undergraduate degree in Human Biology and Anatomy at King’s College London, which sparked his interest in the musculoskeletal system and a career in orthopaedics. He went on to undertake his medical training in the North-East through Durham and Newcastle Universities, graduating in 2006. He secured a national training number in Trauma and Orthopaedics and completed his specialist registrar training on the East Midlands (Leicester) rotation, gaining experience alongside nationally and internationally recognised foot and ankle surgeons.
He achieved his FRCS (Tr & Orth) in 2018 and was awarded his Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in 2020. To further refine his subspecialist expertise, he completed a dedicated Foot and Ankle Fellowship at Nottingham Hospitals, with a strong emphasis on total ankle replacement surgery.
In August 2022, Mr Siddiqui was appointed as a substantive Consultant at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals, working across the Northern General and Royal Hallamshire Hospital sites. As part of a highly respected and internationally recognised Foot and Ankle team, he manages complex foot & ankle trauma and tertiary referral cases from across the region. He has also established and led a regional network of foot and ankle surgeons from ten hospitals, creating a collaborative forum to discuss complex cases and improve patient outcomes.
Mr Siddiqui has published widely on foot and ankle topics in national and international journals, contributed to award-winning medical textbooks and led multiple quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care within the NHS. He is passionate about medical education, regularly supporting both undergraduate and postgraduate training. He mentors orthopaedic trainees preparing for the FRCS (Tr & Orth) examination and is actively involved in training future foot and ankle surgeons through the prestigious Sheffield Foot and Ankle Fellowship programme.

Mr Siddiqui explained my problem in a clear and precise manner , including what to do now!
Mr Siddiqui is a lovely gentleman. He is kind, considerate, and explains everything fully. He also listens and works with his patients, rather than talk at them. If I was ever in need of his department again, it would be him I'd wish to see.
Very straightforward, explained things so I understood and checked
