Mr Pieter Vermaak

Mr Pieter Vermaak is a highly accomplished Consultant Plastic Surgeon specialising in aesthetic, reconstructive, and cosmetic surgery. With a compassionate and patient-centred approach, he is dedicated to delivering tailored care that addresses each individual's unique physical needs and personal goals. Known for his warm and approachable manner, Mr Vermaak takes care to ensure that patients feel informed, supported, and at ease throughout every stage of their surgical journey.

His clinical practice covers a comprehensive range of reconstructive and cosmetic procedures. Mr Vermaak offers expertise in facial aesthetic procedures, breast surgery, body contouring, and advanced microsurgical techniques. In addition to aesthetic procedures, his surgical focus encompasses the management of skin cancer, head and neck reconstruction, complex limb reconstruction, and facial palsy care. By combining technical skill with meticulous attention to detail, he aims to achieve natural, balanced outcomes while maintaining the highest standards of patient safety.

Mr Vermaak earned his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBCh) in South Africa, where his passion for plastic surgery was first established. He subsequently moved to the United Kingdom to complete Core Surgical Training in the South West, followed by higher specialist training in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in the West Midlands. He earned his Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons in Plastic Surgery, FRCS(Plast), and was admitted to the Specialist Register in Plastic Surgery in 2020. To further refine his skills, he completed competitive international fellowships in Canada focusing on Head and Neck Surgery, Breast Reconstruction, Cosmetic Surgery, and Microsurgery. Mr Vermaak is a member of the British Association of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons (BAPRAS) and the British Medical Association (BMA).
