Dr Obinna Mba

Dr Obinna Mba is a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist dedicated to providing holistic, patient-centred care for women at every stage of life. Taking an evidence-based and empathetic approach, Dr Mba works closely with each patient to ensure that treatment plans are tailored to individual health needs. He offers supportive guidance and thorough diagnostic evaluations, reassuring patients through every step of their care.

In his clinical practice, Dr Mba specialises in benign gynaecological surgery and advanced diagnostic procedures. His surgical repertoire encompasses open, laparoscopic, and hysteroscopic techniques, as well as minimally invasive vaginal surgery. He regularly assesses and manages a broad spectrum of conditions, including menstrual disorders, abnormal postmenopausal bleeding, pelvic pain, endometriosis, fibroids, ovarian cysts, and polycystic ovary syndrome. Additionally, Dr Mba is a certified colposcopist who delivers specialised care for women presenting with abnormal cervical screening findings, alongside managing high-risk pregnancies.

Dr Mba earned his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery degree from Abia State University in 1999. Following his initial qualification, he undertook postgraduate training in London and subsequently obtained a Master of Arts degree. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. To maintain the highest standards of care, Dr Mba holds professional memberships with the British Society of Gynaecological Endoscopy and the British Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology.

Beyond his direct clinical commitments, Dr Mba is deeply involved in medical education and research within benign gynaecology. In his role as a Senior Clinical Lecturer, he contributes significantly to the training and development of undergraduate medical students and postgraduate doctors.
