Dr Noor Hossain

Dr Noor Hossain is a dedicated Consultant Gastroenterologist and Consultant Physician who provides comprehensive care for individuals experiencing a wide range of digestive and liver conditions. Emphasising a compassionate and patient-centred approach, Dr Hossain focuses on thorough diagnostic evaluations and evidence-based management plans tailored to each patient's individual needs. His clinical practice spans all key areas of digestive health, delivering high standards of medical care and reassuring guidance throughout every stage of assessment and treatment.

Dr Hossain possesses specialist expertise in the diagnosis and management of luminal gastrointestinal diseases, hepatology, and clinical nutrition. He serves as a specialist clinical lead in inflammatory bowel disease, providing expert management for complex conditions such as Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis. In addition, Dr Hossain plays a pivotal role in gastrointestinal cancer care, evaluating and managing both upper and lower gastrointestinal malignancies. His clinical interests also include functional gastrointestinal disorders, motility conditions, and the management of acute gastrointestinal bleeding. To ensure precise diagnosis and targeted therapy, he routinely performs a full range of diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures, including gastroscopy, colonoscopy, and flexible sigmoidoscopy.

Dr Hossain completed his primary medical qualification in 1990. He subsequently undertook higher specialty training in Gastroenterology and General Medicine in the United Kingdom, followed by an advanced clinical fellowship focused specifically on inflammatory bowel disease. Dr Hossain holds Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP UK and MRCP Gastroenterology) and is a Fellow of both the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh (FRCP Edin) and the Royal College of Physicians of London (FRCP London).
