Mr Nikolaos Burbos

I have been a Consultant Gynaecologist at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital since 2012. I trained in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in the East of England Deanery, including 2 years of sub-specialty training in Gynaecological Oncology at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital. I also completed a secondment at the Belfast City Hospital where I developed my expertise in advanced laparoscopic surgery.

My main areas of clinical expertise include: diagnosis and management of gynaecological cancers, colposcopy, management of irregular vaginal bleeding, postmenopausal vaginal bleeding, uterine
fibroids, ovarian cysts and vulval conditions.

During my career I have developed laparoscopic skills to enable me to deal with many gynaecological conditions. I also have special interest in extensive surgery for patients diagnosed with ovarian cancer. In recognition of this expertise, I have been invited to teach colleagues at both national and international workshops.

My aim is to provide high quality care for each of my patients. I will always employ the best evidence-based practice, tailoring this to the needs and wishes of the individual person.
