Dr Nejc Steiner

Dr Nejc Steiner is a dedicated Consultant Ear, Nose and Throat Surgeon specialising in comprehensive otorhinolaryngology, otology, and complex skull base procedures. Dedicated to delivering patient-centred, reassuring care, he works closely with individuals of all ages to provide clear diagnostic evaluations and tailored treatment strategies for a wide range of ear, nose, and throat conditions. His clinical philosophy emphasises open communication, empathetic support, and achieving optimal long-term outcomes to improve each patient's quality of life.

In his clinical practice, Dr Steiner possesses advanced expertise in complex otology and lateral skull base surgery. His key areas of interest include hearing restoration, cochlear implantation, and reconstructive ear procedures such as tympanoplasty. He also specialises in managing complex balance disorders and neurodevelopmental or genetic conditions affecting the ear and skull base, including NF2-related schwannomatosis. In addition, Dr Steiner applies cutting-edge surgical techniques, including the translational use of platelet-rich plasma (PRP) to promote enhanced tissue healing during ear operations.

Dr Steiner completed his primary medical degree at the University of Ljubljana in 2015. After finishing his specialist residency training in otolaryngology, he earned a PhD in 2024, focusing his academic research on the therapeutic applications of platelet-rich plasma in ear surgery. He subsequently completed a post-specialty fellowship in lateral skull base surgery, complex otology, and cochlear implantation. He maintains active involvement in multidisciplinary professional organisations and specialised skull base surgical teams.
