Dr Nagi Bhaskaran

Dr Nagi Bhaskaran is a highly accomplished Consultant Anaesthetist who specialises in providing comprehensive anaesthetic care for a wide range of surgical procedures. With a focus on patient safety and comfort, Dr Bhaskaran is dedicated to delivering tailored anaesthetic plans that support optimal recovery. Throughout his career, Dr Bhaskaran has developed key clinical interests in perioperative medicine, bariatric anaesthesia, and providing anaesthesia for high-risk patients. He is particularly skilled in advanced regional anaesthesia techniques, including ultrasound-guided local anaesthetic blocks and the innovative Pericapsular Nerve Group (PENG) block. Dr Bhaskaran obtained his medical degree in Madras, India, before relocating to the United Kingdom in 1986. He then undertook extensive postgraduate training in Intensive Care Medicine, General Medicine, and Anaesthesia at major training hospitals in Plymouth and Sheffield. In 1998, he was appointed as an NHS Consultant in Anaesthesia. Alongside his clinical duties, Dr Bhaskaran is an active contributor to the wider medical community, frequently sharing his expertise as a speaker at international conferences on perioperative pain management and enhanced recovery.
