Dr Murray Flett

Dr Murray Flett is a Consultant Vascular Surgeon and General Surgeon who possesses extensive expertise in both open surgical techniques and modern minimally invasive endovascular procedures. He focuses on delivering high-quality surgical care to patients presenting with a wide array of circulatory and general surgical conditions. His clinical practice is built upon a patient-centred approach, ensuring that every individual receives a thorough evaluation and a tailored treatment plan designed to achieve the best possible health outcomes.

Dr Flett earned his medical qualification, Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB), before undertaking rigorous postgraduate training in General Surgery and Vascular Surgery. To further broaden his technical capabilities, he completed a specialised fellowship in Interventional Radiology, gaining advanced expertise in image-guided vascular interventions. Dedicated to upholding high standards of training and surgical practice within his specialty, Dr Flett serves as an active member of both the Vascular Specialist Advisory Committee and the Scottish Vascular Training Committee.

His areas of clinical interest encompass the comprehensive management of peripheral arterial disease, aortic aneurysms, and chronic limb-threatening ischaemia. Dr Flett regularly performs complex procedures, including endovascular aneurysm repair (EVAR), fenestrated endovascular techniques, lower limb vein bypass surgery, endo-venous therapy, and vascular access creation for renal replacement therapy. In addition to his direct clinical work, he actively participates in surgical research focusing on emergency outcomes, limb preservation strategies, and soft tissue infections.
