Dr. Muriel Holder is an esteemed clinical geneticist with a wealth of experience in the field, currently serving as a consultant in clinical genetics at Guy's Hospital since June 2012. With a diverse background in both clinical practice and academic research, Dr. Holder has made significant contributions to the field of genetics.

Her journey in genetics began with her medical education at Cochin Port Royal Medical School in Paris, France. Following her medical degree, Dr. Holder specialised in paediatrics and genetics at Lille 2 University, where she also completed a Master's degree in human genetics in 1996. She completed a Master's in molecular biology from Paris 5 University in 1991 and a Master's in biochemistry from the same institution in 1990. She also holds a PhD.

Throughout her career, Dr. Holder has held various positions in clinical genetics, including serving as a specialty registrar and lecturer at Lille University Hospital in France. She spent four years there as a specialty registrar and six years as a lecturer.
