Ms Ruth Waters

Miss Ruth Waters works as a Consultant Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon at the University Hospital Birmingham NHS Trust. Her specialist interests are focused in Aesthetic and reconstructive surgery of the breast, with other interests in skin Oncology, skin lasers and microvascular surgery. Outside of her work in Birmingham, she also provides a breast reconstruction service to the Queens Hospital in Burton.

Her training involved graduating from Southampton University before training in plastic surgery in Norwich and the West Midlands. Working as a Consultant for over 16 years, Miss Waters has built up a wealth of expertise and continues to develop reconstructive techniques, in particular being able to provide a full range of reconstructive options in breast surgery and is one of a small number of surgeons in the region able to offer DIEP flaps.
