My experience at Shirley oaks was amazing , the staff were very attentive and professional and I felt very looked after. I found my consultant Mr Patel very professional welcoming and engaging. My whole experience and treatment was excellent
I would rate the physiotherapy very highly. I like that the physiotherapy continues for longer after individual sessions have finished with group sessions. Tejal, the physiotherapist is a very professional, pleasant young lady who has helped me a lot. The operation went well without any complications. I found the pain management medication in the early days not sufficient but that is no fault on the clinical staff rather that I can't take codeine due to an intolerance I have developed to it in recent years,
Mr Patel explained everything clearly, both before and after the operation. I feel that the operation has been very successful in the improvement in my movement from shortly after the surgery and the impact on the muscles in the operated leg has been negligable. The area of the incision has healed well and the scarring is minimal.
Friendy , professional consultant i can recommend any day.!!
Mr Patel was professional in his approach. He explained what had a happened and how things are now. However, I feel a little bit abandoned, told to get on with it and work through the pain, even though my knee felt quite hot and concerned me. I feel another consultation with him for a 3 month check up would have reassured me. I also feel that there should be more physiotherapy offered on a weekly basis, say for 8 weeks.
I have no complaints Throughout the process I felt informed, fully supported and always encouraged towards the very best outcome. Big thank you from me for such a positive experience.
Mr. Patel was a pleasure to see before, during and after my procedure. He made me feel comfortable at all times and I loved that I could talk to him as I would a friend. 'Thankyou' does not seem enough for what he has done but I truly do mean it.
My overall experience from start to finish was 1st class.
I had every confidence in Mr Jig Patel, he explained the procedure and aswered my enquires very patiently.
My knee operation was very successful and I got over it a lot quicker than the previous one.
