Mr Tom Wilson

Mr Tom Wilson is a consultant ENT surgeon based at Spire Leeds Hospital and Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. He offers general ear, nose, and throat services for adult and paediatric patients. His particular interest is in hearing, middle ear surgery and diziness.

Conditions treated by Mr Wilson include:

• Tonsillitis, tonsillectomy and adenoidectomy
• Hearing loss in children and adults
• Glue ear and grommets
• Tongue tie (frenulotomy)
• Blocked noses and septoplasty
• Rhinitis, sinusitis and nasal polyps

Mr Wilson gained his MBBS in 1997 from the University of London before undertaking a higher surgical fellowship in otology, neurotology, and hearing implants (Cambridge). He has broad experience in ENT, gained from working in major teaching hospitals such as St George's Hospital and Cambridge University Teaching Hospital, New Zealand and Zimbabwe.

At Leeds Teaching Hospitals, Mr Wilson has been the governance lead for the department and set up the multidisciplinary hearing implant team, which is dedicated to providing the best quality care in ENT, otology, and hearing implantation. He was also involved in the development of an annual advanced middle ear surgery course in Cambridge, and he teaches regional courses in both Leeds and Sheffield.
