About Mr Simon Ellenbogen
Mr Simon Ellenbogen has been a Consultant Surgeon for 20 years. He specialises in breast, thyroid and laparoscopic surgery. He has a wealth of emergency and specialist surgical experience in both elective and emergency surgery.
In addition to his practice, Mr Ellenbogen was also a Lecturer in surgery at the University of Liverpool and the Royal Marsden Hospital, where he received the Moynihan medal for his research; recognising the importance of keeping abreast of recent medical advances in giving the best possible care to his patients.
Mr Ellenbogen's NHS base is Tameside Acute Foundation Trust where he is currently the Clinical Director for elective services and surgical tutor. In addition, he runs the 'One Stop Breast Clinic' at BMI The Highfield Hospital and he actively sees general surgery patients at the hospital.
