Mr Shane Duffy

Mr Shane Duffy is a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist with over 17 years of consultant clinical experience at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital in London. Dr Duffy sees private patients at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, the Lister Hospital and the Portland Hospital. Mr Duffy is a highly regarded expert and leading consultant obstetrician and gynaecologiost in London.

Mr Duffy obtained his medical degree from Guy's and St Thomas' Medical School, University of London in 1997. He also holds Diplomas in Tropical Medicine and Advanced Obstetric Ultrasound from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and the Royal College of Radiologists. He became a Fellow of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in 2013.

Mr Duffy has expertise in the management of complications at the start of pregnancy through to delivery as well as gynaecological complications.

His clinical practice is heavily focused on: specialist areas are ultrasound scanning, reconstruction surgery for perineal trauma and female pelvic floor trauma, complex surgery in pregnancy and complex caesarean sections.

Mr Duffy is the Clinical Director for the North West London Abnormal Invasive Placenta service (complex Caesarean Sections) and the Lead for the Surgical Maternity Clinic at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, London. He also provides a regional and international Surgical Fistula Repair service which is based at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital and is a fistula trainer at Kitovu Hospital in Uganda
