About Mr Rupert Obholzer
Mr Obholzer is a consultant ENT and Skull Base surgeon at Guy's Hospital, Kings College Hospital, and the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery in Queen Square. He is the head of department for ENT at Guy's and has a subspecialty practice in the management of complex disorders of the ear and skull base.
His specialist interest include surgical correction of hearing loss and ear diseases, management and surgery of disorders of the ear, facial nerve and lateral skull base including vestibular schwannoma (acoustic neuroma) and parotid surgery, cochlear implants and the management of facial palsy.

I apologize for the unsatisfactory experience, I think the problem was the unavailability of hearing tests at Cleveland clinic after 6pm, which something I've tried to address without success.
I was diagnosed with a carotid tumour, and after reading and hearing about the risks of surgery, I initially decided against it and planned to proceed with radiotherapy instead. However, every specialist I consulted strongly recommended that I speak to Mr Rupert Obholzer, who is widely regarded as an authority on carotid tumours. From our very first consultation, Mr Obholzer impressed me with his calm, patient, and thorough approach. He took the time to explain everything in clear, understandable terms and answered all of my many questions without ever making me feel rushed. He was honest about the risks involved, but at the same time his confidence, experience, and professionalism gave me reassurance that I was in the best possible hands. In the end, I decided to proceed with surgery, and I am so grateful that I did. The operation went extremely well, and I experienced no neurological or other side effects. The care I received before, during, and after the procedure was outstanding. I will always be grateful to Mr Obholzer for his expertise, his compassion, and the life-changing care he provided. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone facing a similar diagnosis.
