Mr Robert Swift

Mr Robert Swift is a General Surgeon currently working at the private practices BMI Shirley Oaks Hospital and Ramsay North Downs Hospital. His current NHS post is Croydon Health Services NHS Trust. His areas of specialism are Colorectal cancer services and General Surgery and his areas of interest include colorectal disease, pelvic floor surgery, colorectal surgery, rectal bleeding, change of bowel habit, colorectal cancer family history, change in bowel habit and anal fistula treatment.

Mr Swift completed a bachelor's degree in 1981 and attained Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery degrees from Kings College Hospital, London, in 1983. He completed a Master of Science in 1993 and became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 1987. He has many professional memberships including Association of Surgeons GB and I and Royal Society of Medicine.

Mr Swift has worked in Major London Teaching Hospitals. He has also set up and developed the Academic part of the Colorectal unit with many publications and higher degrees being awarded over the years. He has received awards including Pelican Cancer centre grant awarded and has research publications.
