Mr Nick Gallogly

Mr Nick Gallogly is an esteemed Consultant Orthotist specialising in clinical biomechanics, gait analysis, and the orthotic management of lower limb conditions. Dedicated to delivering patient-centred and reassuring care, he works to restore mobility, alleviate pain, and enhance quality of life for individuals with complex musculoskeletal and neuromuscular disorders. His practice spans paediatric and adult care, helping patients navigate acute injuries, congenital conditions, and chronic movement difficulties.

With extensive expertise in lower limb biomechanics, Mr Gallogly utilises advanced gait analysis technology to design bespoke orthotic interventions. His clinical focus includes the conservative management of foot and ankle pathologies, sports injury prevention and rehabilitation, orthotic stroke management, and post-polio rehabilitation. He collaborates closely with Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeons, Consultant Rheumatologists, Physiotherapists, and General Practitioners to ensure an integrated, multidisciplinary approach for every patient.

In addition to his clinical practice, Mr Gallogly contributes significantly to orthotic education and clinical training. He acts as an educator and guest lecturer, training future healthcare professionals and surgical trainees in conservative orthotic management. Mr Gallogly began his academic training at Dublin City University, graduating with a Bachelor of Engineering in Medical Mechanical Engineering in 2004. He subsequently obtained a Bachelor of Science with Honours in Prosthetics and Orthotics from Salford University in 2008, before completing a Master of Science in Clinical Biomechanics at Staffordshire University in 2014. He holds professional memberships with the British Association of Prosthetists and Orthotists (BAPO) and the British Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society (BOFAS), and is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
