About Hugo Cauvas
Hugo Cauvas brings over a decade of experience to his role as Technical Director at Foot Factor, where he works alongside his father, Norbert, the company's founder. He is qualified by SIDAS to work with both Podiatech medical and Conform’able sports products, and also holds a Non-Surgical Foot Care Diploma. This combination of expertise enables him to design and craft bespoke custom orthotics to the highest standard.
In his role, Hugo trains Foot Factor’s in-house podiatrists and collaborates closely with referring consultants, physiotherapists, and other healthcare professionals.
Hugo’s background in elite cycling includes racing at a national level across the UK and Europe for eight years. He has provided orthotic support to professional cyclists from top-tier teams such as INEOS Grenadiers, Jumbo Visma, and Bahrain Victorious during the Tour de France. His other passion, skiing, led him to Val d’Isère, France, where he worked with World Cup ski racers and elite snow sports athletes.
Drawing on his dual expertise in medical orthotics and elite sports performance, Hugo personally handcrafts each set of orthotics with precision and care—ensuring they are perfectly tailored to the unique needs of every individual.
