Mr Nicholas Wales

Dr Wales has been an excellent support and guide through some difficult issues with our girl’s birth. He calmly and efficiently helped us making a decision and he came to visit us during our stay to check on us both and make sure we had a great experience and help us with any questions we had.

I cannot rate my experience with Mr Nick Wales high enough. From early pregnancy up until now (weeks after my baby has been born), Nick was, and is, always approachable, professional, knowledgeable, kind and caring. He also has a great sense of humour which helps with anxiety on the day of the birth! I wanted an elective c-section and Nick supported my request completely. I was given my date and time very early on in my pregnancy so I could plan everything prior to and after the birth perfectly. The whole procedure went so smoothly and like clockwork! The entire medical team were magnificent and the one-to-one midwife support in your own room after delivery was wonderful, and I believe this to have helped getting breastfeeding off to a great start and which has continued to go well for me. My recovery has been incredible, I was home after 3 days (although I could have stayed in hospital for longer), and I was doing things quite unhindered when home (being a single mum this was a relief). Nick also comes to check in on you while you are still in hospital which is great and at no point do any of his visits feel rushed. From the moment your baby is born, they stay with you (even when I was wheeled back from theatre my baby was in my arms). This is truly the best way to have a baby.
