All my encounters with Mr Gee have been entirely positive. He is professional, but friendly and always provided clear descriptions of my options, then what was planned and what had happened during surgery. I am immensely grateful to him and would highly recommend him to others considering knee surgery.
From the outset I felt very reassured by Mr Gee’s competence and professionalism. I was referred to him with both back and hip pain and following an X-ray he quickly diagnosed that I needed a right hip replacement. His letter explaining his diagnosis and the suggested treatment was comprehensive. He performed the hip replacement surgery three weeks later, which has been very successful - a neat scar and I was walking without the aid of crutches after two and a half weeks.
A gentleman who was very polite and interested. Explained what was needed and understood the difficulties I had experienced to date of the appointment.
My Appointment with Mr Gee was a follow up after my operation. Mr Gee asked me lots of questions about how I was progressing, about any pain if I had any, about the scar. I explained that there was no pain. Mr Gee was very thorough. He said to keep up with the physio and exercises at home. He also said that I have been placed on a patient-initiated follow-up for 1 year. I cannot fault the treatment that has been given to me from start of initial visit. Personally I feel that Mr Gee is an exceptional surgeon/consultant.
The whole experience with Mr Gee was very reassuring and professional from initial consultation, through the operation and recovery to final appointment.
I'm delighted with the outcome of my knee surgery about seven months ago with Mr Matthew Gee. Following scans, I had arthroscopy and partial medial meniscectomy to remove a large detached fragment which was not repairable. The knee today seems absolutely fine. The scarring is minimal and hardly noticeable. Prior to the surgery, Mr Gee explained the scans very clearly. He was reassuringly expert and extremely helpful in answering my questions.
Everything was fully explained, procedure went smoothly. The recovery has been excellent
I felt very comfortable with the care given to me by Mr Gee throughout my dealings with him both pre and post op. Everything was well explained and so I had no surprises. Thoroughly recommend him as an orthopaedic surgeon.
I have worked with Matt both at Kings College Hospital and at London Bridge Hospital. He is a fantastic colleague and a brilliant surgeon.
