About Mr Matthew Gee
Mr Matthew Gee is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon who specialises in problems of the pelvis, hip and knee. He has expertise in primary and revision hip and knee replacement surgery, knee arthroscopy and ligament reconstruction, pelvic and acetabular trauma surgery and meniscal repair surgery, as well as a wide range of other procedures.
Mr Gee completed his medicine degree at King's College London, and subsequently completed surgical training across the South East of England. In addition to his training in the UK, he also spent 12 months training at Flinders Medical Centre and the Repatriation Hospital in Australia, followed by 6 months at The Royal London Hospital. He became a Fellow of the prestigious Royal College of Surgeons in 2011, and has several professional memberships including the General Medical Council, British Orthopaedic Association and British Hip Society.
Mr Gee is published in numerous peer-reviewed papers, and has presented his research at national and international conferences. He is active in medical education and is an Examiner for the King's College Hospital FRCS course, and is a faculty member on instructional courses for orthopaedic trainees. Furthermore he has written book chapters on hip arthroplasty in trauma and robot assisted hip replacement.

Second hip surgery by Mr Gee (opposite side). Fully explained everything, quick booking in for surgery, good communication with his secretary. Mr Gee took time to sort alternative sedation as I was so poorly previously from the anesthetic. All sorted and much quicker recovery.
Mr. Gee could not of been more helpful from the moment we met until he was able to discharge me with no further issues, thoroughly professional in everything he did or explained.

I had an Arthrosamid injection which is a simple, virtually painless procedure. I am currently awaiting to see how the improvements in my knee function will progress as it takes 6-12 weeks for the effects to become evident. Mr Gee explained clearly what he was going to do, what i was likely to feel afterwards and when to contact him if necessary. It was an easy procedure which took less than 30 minutes.
Mr Gee performed my knee replacement surgery, and I had an excellent experience. He was professional, caring and reassuring throughout the process.
