Mr Mark Simmons

Mr Mark Simmons is a highly trained Consultant ENT Surgeon with specialist expertise in rhinology and facial plastic surgery. After qualifying from the University of Oxford, he completed his surgical training across the UK, Europe, and North America, including general ENT training in major centres including all 3 of the Manchester Teaching Hospitals and the Royal Manchester Children's Hospital.

Mr Simmons undertook advanced fellowship training in rhinology and facial plastic surgery at internationally recognised centres of excellence. In 2004, he was awarded the prestigious fellowship from the European Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery, during which he developed expertise in functional and cosmetic septorhinoplasty as well as facial reconstruction, particularly for patients with skin cancer.

He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England (FRCS) and holds a Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training (CCST) in Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery. He is listed on the GMC Specialist Register for ENT and has also achieved International Board Certification in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery following successful North American Board examinations.

In the NHS he now works in four of the Teaching Hospitals in Birmingham and the Black Country.

Alongside his clinical work, Mr Simmons is actively involved in medical education. He serves as an Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer and examiner at the University of Birmingham, and is a member of the Court of Examiners at the Royal College of Surgeons of England, examining candidates for the Intercollegiate Membership Exam in Otolaryngology (MRCS-ENT).

With a combination of UK and international training, specialist surgical expertise, and a strong commitment to teaching, Mr Simmons is recognised for delivering high-quality, patient-focused ENT and facial plastic care.

He offers private consultations in all aspects of both adult and children's ENT, specialising more in diseases of the nose.  He also offers cosmetic surgery for the nose and ear.
