About Professor Lee Jeys

Professor Jeys is a consultant orthopaedic surgeon who has two main specialities. He has a intenational reputation for performing hip and knee replacements. He is known for his ability to redo hip and knee replacements and undertakes many challenging cases often thought not to be suitable for surgery. He lectures worldwide on hip and knee surgery and is an invited member of the prestigious European Knee Society. He was voted one of the leading knee surgeons in the UK in a daily mail article.

He also specialises in the treatment of bone tumours and soft tissue tumours. He leads one of the worlds largest and most respected bone and soft tissue tumour units. He's expertise in treating tumours resulted in positions as a board member of the European Musculoskeletal Tumour Society and former chairman of the National Cancer Research Institute.

He has published over 300 scientific papers and has written many chapters in textbooks about surgery. He was awarded the highest research degree in the UK, a Doctor of Science (DSc), in 2019 in recognition of his outstanding lifetime contribution to the fields of joint replacement and bone tumours. He already held a Masters Degree in Orthopaedic Engineering.
