Mr Jonathan Pembridge

Mr Jonathan Pembridge was appointed as a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at the Royal Glamorgan Hospital in 2004. He first qualified from the University of Wales College of Medicine in 1994, training posts in South Wales and London followed including a research post for 2 years at the Cardiff Assisted Reproduction Unit.

Mr Pembridge holds the joint Royal College of Radiologists and Obstetricians and Gynaecologists diploma in ultrasound.  Mr Pembridge has previously held management posts including clinical director and participates in undergraduate and post graduate education being a college tutor and honorary lecturer and participates in medical research  . Mr Pembridge runs a weekly, gynaecology clinic , a  fertility clinic, a recurrent miscarriage clinic and a clinic for endometriosis within his NHS practice.

He has significant experience in the management of benign gynaecological conditions including the management of pelvic pain, heavy menstrual bleeding, postmenopausal bleeding, menstrual irregularities, polycystic ovaries  pelvic floor prolapse,  vulval skin conditions ,subfertility and investigation of recurrent miscarriage. Mr Pembridge is a competent laparoscopic and endoscopic surgeon for the diagnosis and management of pelvic pain, endometriosis, removal of polyps including the use of the Myosure device, heavy periods  including endometrial ablation and the Novasure device , management of ovarian cysts and hysterectomy .

Mr Pembridge is recognised as a fee assured practitioner with medical insurance providers including BUPA, AXA, Vitality , WPA , Aviva, Benendon, Simply Health, CIGNA, Exeter Friendly.

Personal interests:- Married  with children he enjoys playing golf and surfing at local beaches.
