Education:

Mr Monk studied medicine as an undergraduate in Sheffield. His pre-fellowship training was undertaken in Oxford, Bristol, Cheltenham and Nottingham. His full fellowship training in Oswestry and Belfast was devoted to hip and knee replacement surgery and his trauma training was spent at a major trauma centre in Calgary, Canada.
