About Mr Jonathan Broome

Mr Jonathan David Broome is a Consultant Gynaecologist who qualified from the University of Birmingham Medical School in 1989. Having undergone general training in Obstetrics & Gynaecology in Manchester he undertook a further 2 year training fellowship in minimal access (keyhole) surgery at the Department of Endo-gynaecology, Royal Hospital for Women, Sydney. He was appointed as a Consultant in Obstetrics & Gynaecology at Royal Bolton Hospital in 2000 but now works exclusively in the private sector at the Spire Manchester Hospital.

Gynaecological problems can be extremely debilitating - they can interrupt even the smallest tasks of everyday life. Many women say they feel like a brand new person having received effective and personalised treatment at the clinic. Mr Broome combines a kind, sympathetic approach with absolute discretion and professionalism when talking to his patients about a subject that is usually very private.

Jonathan Broome is a renowned specialist in keyhole surgery having successfully treated over 2000 cases of prolapse in this way. Mr Broome's pioneering technique led to the first woman in the world being able to have a child after surgery for a prolapsed womb.

From start to finish Mr Jonathan Broome had great bedside manner. I felt heard regarding my health concerns, and Doctor Broome provided me a clear plan of action. I'm personally quite averse to taking medicine/hormonal medication if not required 100%. Doctor Broome took a diet/lifestyle approach with me, which I really appreciated. He provided the right amount of information and was open to any questions I had. Very pleased, will come back if I have any other issues. But hopefully, I won't have to do that.

Jonathan is absolutely amazing. As soon as I met him I knew I could trust him. I did lots of research before and also got a second opinion, I shouldn’t have bothered. I can’t thank him enough for changing my life.

I received excellent treatment and truly outstanding patient care throughout my procedure. From the initial consultation to aftercare, everything was explained clearly and I felt listened to, reassured, and treated with genuine professionalism and kindness. The procedure itself was handled with great skill, and I felt completely confident and safe at every stage. I am extremely grateful for the care I received and would not hesitate to recommend Mr Broome to others.

I came in for a consultation and was able to be treated there and then. Dr Broome explained everything thoroughly, was able to provide an answer for why I was in discomfort following the birth of my first child and also give a solution. I have come away on top of the world - I’m no longer in pain when I exercise and I couldn’t be happier. Thank you!!

Explained everything clearly, and once I got into surgery everything went smoothly. The only issue I had was the lack of information and update on the day due to a delay with my surgery. No one kept me updated as to what was going on and I found the ward nurse was dismissive of me when I asked for an update
