Dr Jervoise Andreyev received his first degree in Arabic Studies from the Magdalene College- Cambridge. Later in 1987, he went to London Hospital Medical College for his medicine, and in 1997 he completed his PhD in molecular biology- as a British Digestive Foundation Research Fellow at the Institute of Cancer Research. Dr Jervoise took the position of Senior Lecturer as well as Honorary Consultant Gastroenterologist at Imperial College in 2000. He later moved to London in 2006 to the Royal Marsden Hospital. He was the first gastroenterologist to specifically treat GI side effects of cancer treatments worldwide. The post enabled him to do extensive research as well as run a busy clinical practise with a worldwide reputation as a pioneer of treatments and management approaches to gastrointestinal diseases.

His achievements include being elected as Faculty at the Institute of Cancer Research- London in 2016 while on the other hand, he visited Nimmo Professor at the Royal Adelaide Hospital- Australia. 2017 saw him move his clinical practice to Lincolnshire, where he also continued with research. Among the awards he received in 2017 include, Macmillan award for leadership and innovation in cancer rehabilitation, giving presidents lecture at Royal College of Physicians Regional update 2014, as well as the MAGIC award for innovation and excellence in UK gastroenterology in addition to London Evening Standard NHS Champions: award of merit. As such, he highly sorts after teacher as well as a lecturer.
