Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon, Mr David Murray, is located in the Manchester and Chesire areas and specialises in hand and wrist surgery. His particular areas of interest are minimally invasive arthroscopic procedures, base of thumb arthritis, small joint replacement, trigger finger, carpal tunnel decompression, and Dupuytren's contracture (including injection therapy). He is dedicated to his field and actively participates in teaching sessions and research projects. Mr Murray is also an honorary senior lecturer at the University of Salford and an Advanced Trauma Life Support instructor.
Mr Murray has a strong interest in the treatment of all hand and wrist disorders. He has won numerous awards for his work in his field and has been recognised at national conventions. Recently, Mr Murray has presented his research and delivered lectures on sports injuries at a number of international conferences, including the World Sport Trauma Congress and the FIFA Football Medical Conference.
Mr Murray received his medical degree from the University of Manchester and went on to complete additional surgical training in orthopaedics on the Northwest Orthopaedic rotation. Mr Murray has also completed a hand and wrist fellowship at the world-famous Wrightington Hospital.

Having suffered intense pain even after having cortisone injection in my wrist over two years knowing it couldn’t continue. I meet up with David. The first meeting I had with David gave me hope in his explanation of what he could achieve with surgery. 6 months on I am nearly back to doing my art work and daily activities without pain. Absolutely brilliant surgeon.

He is described as Cheshire's go to hand and wrist surgeon and is involved in sports injuries to looking after celebrities. I have known David for many years from being a trainee to a fellow senior colleague, and he is very respected amongst his peers. I would have no hesitation in recommending him to family and friends and award him a five star review for his care, diligence and the surgical skills over the many we have worked together.
