About Mr Daniel R Cohen
Mr Daniel Cohen is a consultant orthopaedic surgeon specialising in hip and knee surgery. He works at the BMI Highfield Hospital, Rochdale, where he performs hip and knee replacements, and treatment for arthritis, hip dysplasia, avascular necrosis and instability. Mr Cohen also runs an adult and paediatric trauma service at The Royal Oldham Hospital.
He graduated from the University of Liverpool before completing higher surgical training on the Mersey rotation. He was appointed as the John Charnley International Arthroplasty Fellow at Wrightington Hospital and has completed several national and international fellowships.
Mr Cohen has an interest in research and academia, and has published and presented research nationally and internationally, and was awarded the Jacques Duparc Award from the European Federation of National Associations oOrthopaedicscs & Traumatology. He also holds a diploma in Clinical Education from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow.
Mr Cohen was appointed an Honorary Senior Lecturer at the School of Health Sciences, University of Salford Manchester, for his ongoing work and teaching in the fields of Hip Surgery and Biomechanics.
